Formational Coaching

1. Move with confidence

2. Discover what truly brings you to life

3. Engage with the world around you in a way that reflects your innate wiring

People often feel that there is a gap between who they are, and who they know they can be.

Here's where the gap comes from:

1. An identity formed from the outside in, not the inside out

4. A mind and body that are out of sync

2. An adversarial relationship with fear

5. A habitat that doesn't support who we want to be.

3. False beliefs about ourselves and about the story we find ourselves caught up in

6. Being in a hurry and forgetting the truth.

But here's the good news: that gap doesn't have to exist. Coaching will help you address all of these in a way that allows you to grow like never before, and become the version of yourself that you know you can be.

What is "coaching" anyway?

We understand coaching in the context of sports and other kinds of activities, but when it comes to Identity  coaching or other forms of life coaching, things can get confusing.

The easiest way to understand what I do is to think of it as filling a gap between traditional therapy and mentorship. Coaching is an intentional process that focuses primarily on present circumstances and future direction, but we will not dig into deep past trauma, nor will we just meet up to talk about life.

Now, what does this look like practically?

Each coaching pathway has it's own unique steps that we'll take one at a time. Here's what that looks like:

Identity Formation and Integration

1. Begin to look at life through the lens of story.

2. Take a close look at false beliefs, false identities, and fear. Begin to replace them with truth.

3. Discover what truly brings you to life.

4. Find intersections with what the world needs, and make a plan to pursue those intersections

5. Establish the deepest truths that you believe in, and the values that matter to you the most.

6. Set off on the path of becoming the truest version of yourself.

Strength and Movement

1. Set clear goals for your movement practice.

2. Learn the foundational strength and technical skills of parkour (safe landings, balance, climbing, etc.).

3. Begin to introduce more complex techniques and applications, introduce more of the mental side of parkour training.

4. Apply yourself to greater challenges, learn more in depth about risk management, contending with fear, etc.

5. Move with more confidence than ever before.

I wholeheartedly recommend The Art of Story to anyone who feels lost or is walking through a life-changing season. I am incredibly grateful for the guidance and support Zach provided through this program.

After becoming a wife and mom, my days began to feel monotonous, and somewhere along the way I lost my spark. I found myself simply going through the motions, without passion or motivation to pursue what the Lord had placed on my heart. I felt stuck and disconnected from my purpose.

In just seven sessions with Zach, my life has truly transformed. I’ve rediscovered my love of reading.  I’m now on my third book after not reading for over five years. I’ve enrolled in continuing education courses in areas I’m passionate about and I am currently pursuing building my emotional trauma release business. Most importantly, I’ve begun finding meaning and vocation in the everyday moments of motherhood and marriage.

The Art of Story has been a gift, and I’m so thankful for the vision behind this program and the life-giving work it offers.

Zach is one of the most instrumental and influential coaches I have ever had the privilege to work with! Not only does he bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that he is consistently and intentionally developing, he is attentive and considerate to anyone and everyone he coaches. Zach is someone who genuinely cares and loves supporting success in others. He is always mindful of the complex and wonderful connections in people’s stories and the struggles of learning a physical discipline; he brings out a level of insight and enthusiasm to movement I have never felt before. He has lead me through goal after goal and I always look forward to his classes and sessions!

Working with me is simple!

1 / Schedule a time to talk with me

In a 20-30 minute call, you and I will discuss your goals for personal development and where you want to go.

2 / We'll make a plan

I'll send you a custom plan for how we can work together to help you progress in the ways that are most important to you. Physical, mental and spiritual growth is much easier with a plan, and in this step, I will show you the plan and we'll work together to refine it.

3 / Become more of the person you want to be.

In only 2-3 months, you will be starting to discover who you're made to be in ways that you've never even considered. You will have tools for contending with fear, you will know what you truly value, and you will have practices for how to shape your external life to the internal life.

Finding a sense of true identity  in this complicated and messy world is difficult enough as it is.

You don't have to do it alone.

Discovering identity is hard. You need to sift through years of life in an unforgiving world, find out where you've been living under the influence of false beliefs, and then flip it all around to find what actually brings you to life. Then, how on earth do you build a lifestyle that allows you to live in that true identity? Very few people understand this process. Heck, I have spent years going through the process myself to reach a point where I actually get how any of this works. And I'm still not all the way there. I don't coach from a point of "arrival," but from a place of invitation to start living differently, as more of who we are made to be.

So if you're ready to start asking the hard but necessary questions, to dig deep, and to journey alongside others who are on the journey with you, then let's get started.
